Let's be clear about this - if you love tasty, full bodied tea, nothing beats classic Assam. This is the part of most modern breakfast tea blends that gives the sweeter, malty flavour. The Scots and Irish are famed for adding a little more Assam than Ceylon in their Breakfast tea blends to add more depth and strength to the flavour.

The Tippy is simply the tips of the leaves as opposed to the fannings - in other words, a larger leaf appearance. The result of this is a slightly lighter mouth feel, and more golden than black colour, but still bags and bags (pardon the pun) of flavour.

A real favourite of ours - come on - buy some and ditch those awful tea bags!!

Great with a smidgen of milk or a slice of lemon!
